Plant and Mine

Our products are mined from a high-purity, chemical-grade deposit in northern Nevada.

Because we sell exclusively to the feed industry, we take special care with our mining methods. Unlike most quarries, which use fuel oil-based explosives, we only use mineral oil-based explosives for blasting – this eliminates palatability concerns & potential chemical contamination if some of the explosive does not detonate.



Our blast hole cuttings are assayed to ensure that our specifications are met.

In the summer of 2002, we completed a total rebuild of our plant. We added additional finished product storage capacity, a new covered truck loadout facility, a new grinding mill, a natural gas fired drier, and a dust removal circuit.

You can now be assured of a dry product, even in the wet winter months. The dust collection system removes the very fine dust that was lost mainly in handing and trucks are loaded in minutes.
