Plant and Mine

MIN-AD is mined from our high purity, chemical grade deposit in northern Nevada, outside the town of Winnemucca. Processing takes place in our nearby plant which is located beside the I-80 and on the Union Pacific rail line.

Because we sell exclusively to the feed industry, all of our mining processing, and load-out operations are performed with feed safety and quality requirements in mind. The plant has been certified under the AFIA Safe Feed/Safe Food Program since 2005 and all of our employees are well versed in feed ingredient safety requirements and proper shipping protocols.

Our blast hole cuttings are assayed to ensure that our specifications are met.

In the summer of 2002, we completed a total rebuild of our plant. We added additional finished product storage capacity, a new covered truck loadout facility, a new grinding mill, a natural gas fired drier, and a dust removal circuit.

You can now be assured of a dry product, even in the wet winter months. The dust collection system removes the very fine dust that was lost mainly in handing and trucks are loaded in minutes.
